Suffolk puff crazy!

One of my long standing projects is making a colourful throw for my little lady’s bed. I am making it out of Suffolk puffs as we Brits call them or as Americans call them Yo-yos. A Suffolk puff is a circle of fabric sewed around the edge and then drawn up into a little bag and then flattened.

I love how easy I can pick up and put down this project at a moment’s notice. I have got a little sewing box that goes with me wherever I go. It is full of fabric circles ready to sew and already made suffolk puffs. I really do not like wasting time so I can happily sew in the park or watching ballet lessons!

I have been busy sewing lots of colourful squares. Now I need to sew a large pile of white cotton circles in preparation for  sewing all the squares together to create my throw. It’s really starting to look really fresh and colourful.

Until next time.
