Merry Christmas Everyone!! I hope you are almost ready for the big day!! Do you like my Merry Bunting I made? aswell as my Lilibet Decoration? My table cloth was a lovely prezzie from my lovely Mum a few years ago from John Lewis. Oh, how I miss going for a mooch in John Lewis especially at Christmas time!!
I know I have been a bit quiet recently with my blog, I have been struggling to combine work and homelife, since I put a lot of effort into my exhibition at Ashgrove Library. If you want to still see my exhibition, it will be on until about the 30th/31st December.
2014 has been a year of learning for me especially about social media!!! Instagram is my favourite form, I have managed to keep up my Instagram posts so if you have been missing me, check me out there! I have a huge thanks to make to a dear friend who has given up her time to help me with social media and give me confidence when I have felt discouraged.
I hope that 2015 will bring more regular posts from me, especially when school goes back!
Wishing you a peaceful and safe Christmas and New Year!
Hello, I know I’ve been a bit quiet on the blog side of things recently, sorry about that! I have been run off my feet getting all my work together to put up an exhibition at Ashgrove Library in Brisbane. Yesterday, the artwork was hung up and it’s on until Christmas Eve. If you live near by, please come along and check it out.
All my original artwork is made from hand-torn weave printed cardstock onto watercolour paper.
I’m sure you can appreciate it can take hours tearing little bits of paper to achieve such results!
Prints of the originals will be available on my new Etsy shop. I can discuss selling original artwork and I am open to commissions as well. It’s very exciting that it is all coming together.
My first print which is available on Etsy is in the colour range of peacock teal, moss green and pistachio. www.etsy.com/au/shop/LilibetStanley
My artwork is inspired by stained glass windows and my love of repetitive pattern. All individual pieces are torn by hand using Kaisercard cardstock.
The cushion on display is one that I knitted years ago though not for sale! I have many talents!
This is a close-up of the print of the artwork!
Whereas this is a close up of the actual hand-torn artwork.
I know it has taken me a while to get my venture up and running but I think it has been worthwhile. Over the next few days and weeks, I will be adding more to the shop but I have to start somewhere!
All my artwork is original and the copyright belongs to me, Lilibet Stanley. I politely ask that you please do not use my images or reproduce my images unless you have asked my permission.
Thanks and until next time.
